A side of Mac n' Cheese creates a near food coma, but what a great path to food intoxication. The 2 Am burger is a clever combo of breakfast and dinner with the crispy hash brown and the mellowness of a perfectly prepared fried egg. The fish taco was a tad cool temperature wise but great flavor with a little heat from the seasoning yet not so much to blur the good flavor of fresh fish. Perfect temperature, two generous wedges of avocado on top, flavorful diced veggies. They let me combine my taco entree combo with one fish and one veggie, and the veggie taco was the best I have EVER had, bar none. We sat outside in the lovely evening air and watched nonstop pedestrian traffic, including a parade of endearing canines, some wearing sweaters.
The wait staff was attentive, friendly and unobtrusive. I could not recommend this place to anyone who wanted a nice evening out. The topper was when the waiter at the end of the night when he was giving us the bill saying to us about all the issues throughout our dinner, "Well, it is what it is." We looked for a manager but could not find one on the floor and decided we had wasted more than enough time here. From appetizers that took 45min and having to be requested for staff to check on the "Nachos" (yep 45min), to having to ask three times(2 different people) for silverware/napkins and then finally going and getting them ourselves- this after being seated for an hour. It started as soon as we were seated, it took over 10 min just for someone to come by and say hello. The current favorites are: 1: Out of the Barrel, 2: Strike Brewing Co.
